It seems to have been a long wait for anyone looking forward to exploring the snowy wastes of post-apocalyptic Moscow. But now your patience will at last be rewarded as Metro: Last Light has been released on PC, with a download link provided below. We hope you enjoy it. No, there isn’t just one available – there’s two! There are two different builds for Metro: Last Light – the original Xbox 360 version and the newer Xbox One build which has a better frame rate and smoother gameplay. Allow us to give you a quick rundown of each one before we lead you towards your download destination... The original Xbox 360 version of Metro: Last Light has not quite caught up with the latest wave of new-gen ports. What this means is that it’s locked to sub-HD resolutions with no anti-aliasing and a frame rate that stutters along at just 25fps. In other words, it’s not ideal to play any longer. Fortunately, there’s another version available to download from the Xbox One Store which has been updated with improved versions of these graphical elements. As you can see in the comparison below, it is a big improvement. And that’s not all that has changed with this Xbox One build of Metro: Last Light, either. Frame rate is now double what it was before, which makes for far smoother gameplay - there are even some waves of 60fps to be found in the most action-packed scenes. It’s also worth noting that the Xbox One version includes all the DLC content released for Metro 2033 when buying Metro: Last Light - two packs in total which add in some extra missions and new weapons to play with.
